The Medium postponed due to Cyberpunk 2077 and other factors

The Medium will only be released in January 2021

Bloober Team has postponed its psychological horror game The Medium to January 2021.

It was only at the beginning of October that the development studio announced December 10, 2020 as the release date. But that date did not last long.

“After careful consideration and consideration, we made the difficult decision today to postpone the release of The Medium to January 28, 2021,” writes the studio on Twitter.

“It was not an easy decision, but it was made because of the Covid-19 situation in Poland and the current schedule for other games on the market. Bloober Team is determined to deliver our biggest, most ambitious and fear-inducing experience to date.”

And the “other games” mean Cyberpunk 2077, which was recently postponed to December 10, 2020 . And on the same day as Cyberpunk 2077, you probably don’t want to release your game for good reason.

“The additional development time will allow us to put the finishing touches on it and make sure we can realize our innovative, cross-genre vision of interactive psychological horror,” it said.

“Rest assured that the delay won’t stop us from sharing information with you, and you can expect us to uncover a few more layers of the great mystery of The Medium soon.”

Most recently, the authorities in Australia refused to age rate the game .

The Medium is threatened with a sales ban Down Under. The studio could work around this by making changes to the game, although it is unclear what the trigger for the denied release is.
