The PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will occupy up to 250GB of hard drive space, Activision has confirmed.
That is the maximum Space that the installation will occupy, with the Ultra RTX specifications to enjoy the new Call of Duty at 4K and with ray-tracing.
If your computer doesn’t meet those specs, the installation size drops to “just” 175GB. If you only want to play multiplayer, the requirement is lower, 50GB, but that will not allow you to play either the campaign or the zombie mode.
It does not seem, therefore, that Activision has taken into account the numerous complaints from users about the exaggerated size/Space that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare occupied.
It must also be taken into account that 250 GB is what the launch game will occupy since the figure could increase as new patches and content updates are published.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will go on sale next November 13, and will have versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC.
